The Regulator of Social Housing has announced that Accord Housing Association has been rated with G1 for governance and V1 for financial viability, meaning that it retains the highest regulatory ratings a housing association can achieve.

The announcement was made on September 25 following the regulator’s in-depth assessment of Accord.

Chris Handy, Chief Executive at Accord said: “We are all really pleased to have once again maintained this top rating, which demonstrates our ongoing commitment to Accord’s values and purpose – to provide housing and care to a range of people, including some of the most vulnerable in our country.

“It is a true reflection of the hard work and dedication of our colleagues who deliver these homes and services every day, and also to the strength of our governance. We will continue our focus on responsible growth to enable us to provide housing and support to even more customers in need.”

The ratings reflect the regulator's assurance on the way Accord is governed and managed, and its financial stability. The IDA outcome confirms that the regulator is fully assured that Accord’s financial plans support the organisation’s financial strategy, and that it has confidence in the way Accord manages and governs business.
